Mark Alan Schall will continue to provide adult students with a valuable learning experience, as they return to school to further their education and pursue their professional and personal goals. For three years now, the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) Center for Finance, Law and Taxation has reaped the benefits of Schalls exceptional teaching and facilitation skills. His class, Cross Cultural Conflict Resolution is part of the Centers Certificate in Conflict and Dispute Resoloution program.
The NYU SCPS says, Our faculty are top-tier industry professionals and educators-mentors who are motivated and eager to serve tomorrows superstars.
I enjoy being able to balance my corporate training experience with teaching in an academic environment such as a college or university, says Schall. Its important for professionals to be able to share real in the field experience with adult students who are in the process of enhancing their lives and careers through continuing education experiences. And Im delighted to be considered part of the top tier of professionals that teach at the University.
The course is designed to teach people the cross-cultural issues that arise in the field of Conflict and Dispute Resolution. When students are being trained in the relevant principles and skills of this field, its important for them to understand how culture plays a role in how conflicts develop, and in how parties in conflict approach the resolution process. Schalls class is an essential tool in this process, and it provides a fun, engaging and enriching experience for his students.
